This postcard is made from a gouache painting that features in Book 3 of my Brief, Complete Herstory series. It is of a medieval Beguine nun, Marguerite Porete, depicts her writing a poem, and includes a line from the poem in the image. I learned about Beguine nuns whilst reading Janice Raymond's A Passion for Friends.
